blog
Thank you for being here. I decided to start this blog to share my journey of coming from surviving to thriving, and when needed to know how to switch back and forth when needed. When I started this journey, I was struggling to find balance in my life. I was overwhelmed ad stressed because I felt that I needed a system to help me maintain a flow that made sense for my life.
About the author

My name is Yvette. I am a mother, a widow, a business owner, a pet mom, and a jack of all trades in a nutshell. I am also from Africa, and I had to learn and adjust to American culture. American lifestyle is definitely difficult to adjust to, especially that the cost of living is high, and getting help is not easy unless you are willing to pay for it. So, does one manage home-life, work-life, self-care, and caring for others in a way that is not overwhelming and easily maintained? Over the years, I acquired life lessons, that I can share in hopes to help others. Also, I am open to learning better tools, tricks, and systems that can make my life a bit easier too. I love writing, whether be in a notebook, or online.
The pillars of life
Not only that writing is a form of expression and creativity, but it is a way to share with others and create communities. In the pursuit of life balance, I adopted 5 key Pillars of Life. These pillars are spirituality, health & wellness, relationships, home management, and finances & wealth. You can categorize and name your life pillars any way you choose as long as the system you create and refer back to helps you live a thriving life. The most important thing is that you are thriving, and if you are not you are striving to do so. I would like to hear about your system, in the comment below.
