Now that you are discovering who you are and are learning the power of prayer, it is time to change everyday life so you can live in your calling. When you find your identity, you will find your calling. This is important because an identity without a purpose is meaningless. One of the biggest question besides who Am I? is why am I here? What is my purpose of life? The process of aligning your daily life with your calling. Like I mentioned before, I can only share my story in hopes that I can inspire you to be brave while you are on the narrow path. I truly believe that each one of us has a calling on our lives, and it would be a shame to leave this world without fulfilling it.
A Purpose That Aligns With Sonini Nanini’s Will For You
The very first step is finding your identity. Knowing who you are will definitely almost instantaneously guide you to you calling. Perhaps it will make sense why you are in a particular line of work, or you enjoy certain hobbies. You identity is key, and a gateway to your calling. Additionally praying over your life and building a relationship with Sonini Nanini works hand in hand with finding one’s purpose. However, are there any indications in your life that can pinpoint to your calling and purpose? Lets look at our ancestors and see how they were able to find their purpose.
Esther~ Pay Attention To The Status and Title You Have
I love the story of Esther so much just because it is a powerful and somewhat relatable story. A young girl is captured and taken to another land. Just when she is perhaps adjusting living in exile, they took her, and groomed her to potentially become a wife to the kind. She finally becomes a queen, but over time loses her favor with the king. All this time, Esther did not really fully understand why all this happened to her. However, today we learn about how she saved her people by pleading for their lives to the king. Could you be where you are today, for such a time as this? How do you think she felt when she realized the responsibility that was placed on her? The potential of immediate death alone could be overwhelming.
14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
Esther 4:14
Moses ~ Calling Trumps Luxury and Comfortable Life
Sometimes your calling will remove you from a place of privilege. As you read the story of Moses, he was adopted by Pharaoh’s sister who found him in the Nile River. Moses grew up as a prince in Egypt. The fact that he killed an Egyptian who was mistreating one of the slaves showed that somehow Moses knew that he was different from the Egyptians. The life he lived wasn’t enough to stop him from feeling the injustices his people endured. So Moses left the life of prince hood and became a shepherd. One thing to note here is that it took many years before Moses started his calling of freeing Sonini Nanini’s people. What was he learning in the desert while a Shepperd? Was he getting Egyptian system detoxed out of him? Do you sometimes feel like you are in exile? I sure do.
13 Then Moses said to God, “Indeed, when I come to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘The God of your fathers has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is His name?’ what shall I say to them?” 14 And God said to Moses, “I AM WHO I AM. SO NINI NA NINI” And He said, “Thus you shall say to the children of Israel, ‘I AM has sent me to you.’ ”
Exodus 3:13-14
Joseph ~Pay Attention To Your Gifts
Joseph grew up with his other 11 brothers. Not only that his father Jacob favored him, but Joseph uniqueness was the gift of dreams. Joseph was able to see the future, but he did not fully understand what the future meant. Because of his gifts, and the fact that his father loved him more, his brethren hated Joseph to the point where they plotted his murder, and finally sold him into slavery. Before achieving the Prime Minister status in Egypt, Joseph was a slave, and in the house of his master, he was falsely accused of rape, and imprisoned for a crime he did not commit. Finally, Pharaoh two disturbing dreams that no one could interpret. Almost always your gifts are the same things that you will use in your calling. Not only that Joseph saved Egypt during seven years of famine, he also saved his own family.
4 So Joseph said to his brothers, “Come near to me, please.” And they came near. And he said, “I am your brother, Joseph, whom you sold into Egypt. 5 And now do not be distressed or angry with yourselves because you sold me here, for God sent me before you to preserve life. 6 For the famine has been in the land these two years, and there are yet five years in which there will be neither plowing nor harvest. 7 And God sent me before you to preserve for you a remnant on earth, and to keep alive for you many survivors. 8 So it was not you who sent me here, but God. He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house and ruler over all the land of Egypt. 9 Hurry and go up to my father and say to him, ‘Thus says your son Joseph, God has made me lord of all Egypt. Come down to me; do not tarry. 10 You shall dwell in the land of Goshen, and you shall be near me, you and your children and your children’s children, and your flocks, your herds, and all that you have. 11 There I will provide for you, for there are yet five years of famine to come, so that you and your household, and all that you have, do not come to poverty.’ 12 And now your eyes see, and the eyes of my brother Benjamin see, that it is my mouth that speaks to you. 13 You must tell my father of all my honor in Egypt, and of all that you have seen. Hurry and bring my father down here.” 14 Then he fell upon his brother Benjamin’s neck and wept, and Benjamin wept upon his neck. 15 And he kissed all his brothers and wept upon them. After that his brothers talked with him.
Genesis 45:4-15
David~ Long-life Training
The Story of David is a painful one. He too, was a black sheep of the family. While his brothers were chosen to go to war, David was left to watch over the sheep. As a young shepherd, David learned invaluable skills of courage which catapulted him into His calling. While in the wild watching over the sheep, he killed a bear, and a lion. David spent a lot alone time praising Sonini Nanini. We find his work in Psalms! In that time of intimacy, David got to know who Sonini Nanini was which gave him strength to face the giant. As you embark on your journey, in exile, and in lonely places, remember that you are in training. The training you do now, will be necessary for you to face the giants in your life. Over many years of lonely places, wars, and running from his haters, David finally became a king. His lineage would be the one The Messiah would come through. Although David suffered a great deal, the rewards outweigh the suffering.
33 Saul replied, “You are not able to go out against this Philistine and fight him; you are only a young man, and he has been a warrior from his youth.” 34 But David said to Saul, “Your servant has been keeping his father’s sheep. When a lion or a bear came and carried off a sheep from the flock, 35 I went after it, struck it and rescued the sheep from its mouth. When it turned on me, I seized it by its hair, struck it and killed it. 36 Your servant has killed both the lion and the bear; this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, because he has defied the armies of the living God. 37 The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine.” Saul said to David, “Go, and the Lord be with you.”
1 Samuel 17:33-37
Ruth~ Make Your Alliances Carefully
The Story of Ruth is one of making a different and unique decision without fully understanding what the future holds. The story of Ruth is the one which she was given a choice to what she knew, or embark on a journey of the unknown without fully knowing what to expect. Naomi her mother in-law had lost her husband and her two sons in the land of Moab. They moved there because of a famine. When it was time for Naomi to go back home she told her two daughters in law Ruth and Orpah to go back to their people. Not only that Ruth accepted Naomi’s God and her people, her lineage produced the Messiah, while Orpah’s lineage produced giants.
16 But Ruth said: “Entreat[a] me not to leave you, Or to turn back from following after you; For wherever you go, I will go; And wherever you lodge, I will lodge; Your people shall be my people, And your God, my God. 17 Where you die, I will die, And there will I be buried. The Lord do so to me, and more also, If anything but death parts you and me.”
Ruth 1:16-17
Make An Inventory of Your Life
The first step in this process is to trace your past. Where are you from? What life obstacles did you overcome? Do you find that in your life journey, you miraculously escaped tragedies, events that were unfortunate to others, etc…? Do you ever feel as though, there is something more you are suppose to do, but you do not know what it is? What are your dreams, hopes, and hobbies? Take sometime and make a list. Start a journey of self-discovery by asking questions about your life past, and present and see if there are any common denominators of what you are suppose to be doing. Categorize each area of your life and break it down. You can start this by creating vision and mission statements in each of these areas: Spirituality, Health and wellness, relationships, and finances and wealth. As you make an inventory of your life, align your goals with what is important to Sonini Nanini. Make sure you have a daily routine that reflects your goals and your calling.
